Welcome to our web site for the Quincy Notre Dame Wrestling Program. The IHSA has now split wrestling into a 3 class system } A, AA, & AAA where we are currently in Class A.
Wrestling is a team sport, as well as an individual one. Each member of the team has the opportunity to contribute to the team's success, while also enjoying individual achievements. Unlike many other sports, wrestling is one in which the coaching staff does not determine "starters" for the team. Regardless of experience or age, each member of the team will be given opportunities to compete on a regular basis.
Last years' season was very exciting! We've finished the season strong - going into Macomb for our Regional & WINNING the Title; bringing Home the 1st Regional Title since 1995! We Followed that up with WINNING the Sectional Title in Le Roy by Defeating Argenta-Oreana 40-39 bringing home the 1st Sectional Title in School History! This year, - along with the various meets, we host two tournaments. On January 28th, we'll host our Varsity Tournament, and on March 17th we'll host our annual open tournament, which is open to anyone ages 3 and up.
On a side note; Last season - At the years' end - the IHSA Awarded our Program with this years' Sportsmanship Award! Congrats to all! We even co-hosted a Clinic with Camp Pt. & Jacksonville HS featuring Standouts such as Northwestern's Jake Herbert, Illinois' John Wise, and no less than 7 All-Americans in each session. The past three clinics has brought in over 180 wrestlers! Building self-esteem, confidence, character, and pride are all huge benefits of being a part of the QND Wrestling Program! The coaching staff strives to consistently build each individual's level of self-esteem and confidence both in the practice room as well as in the classroom!

ARE YOU AN ALUMNI OF QND?
Annually, we've had a designated night in which we've recognized our Alumni. The past few years, we hosted a BBQ Cookout over the summer in which Alumni & their families came back and enjoyed a picnic @ the park, swam, & visited. We continued that tradition again last summer as we hosted another BBQ in July.
I'm still trying to update our contact list of everyone that either wrestled, coached, managed, or assisted with the QND/Christian Brothers Wrestling Program. What we'd like to do is to send our Alumni copies of both our schedule and newsletter; keeping everyone up to date with information on the upcoming season. To receive this information in the mail please e-mail your contact information back to us.
